Kathie
What an eventful weekend!!!

Friday night, my hair dryer blew up on me. I'm talking, sparks flew out of the sucker and singed part of my hair. I freaked (btw, Little Bear was on the bed behind me) threw the blowdryer on the floor (Wise move lady, when the carpet can set fire)...now we've got a small burn mark on our carpet too. We're lucky the darn bedroom (and my afro) didnt catch on fire completely. Did I mention that as all of this was happening all I kept thinking was "Oh God. No. Not now! Just let me finish my hair now!"

I can't really complain about said blow dryer tho. It served me well for almost seven years. Not bad for a $25 purchase from Target, eh? I then went onto Walmart's website and checked out the reviews of the ones on the market. It was then that I decided to go with this one.  Since I had to go food shopping this weekend i'd pick it up then. Well, someone please tell me when Walmart started this quote a cheaper price online but go to the store and pay almost double for it?! That totally burned my buns!!!! Of course I was in need of a blow dryer so they kind of had me pinned. I needed that dryer. Note to self: If not needed ASAP and store is more price, site to store it!  Anyway, check out my new dryer..

I realize now I should have taken a picture of it out of it's box too. Because, well, it's purty!! Oh, and when it says it's lightweight...Girls, it is lightweight! Like I went to pick it up and almost threw it over my head lightweight. Lurveeeeeeeee it!!!

Oh, I also juiced this weekend. I lurve my Breville Juicer!!! I first concocted (ha, i feel like a mad scientist when I say that) this one...

Not too bad. A little earthy for my first taste of juicing but not too bad at all. Tho Little Bear was not too fond of this one. She said it tasted like salad. Ok, her real response was "Ew. Yuck. Tastes like salad" and made a weird face. Gotta love kids.

Yesterday and this morning, I went with another combo......Forgot to take pics, sorry. Beet, Carrots, Romaine Heart, Green Apple, Half Lemon.

Ugh, bad pic. Gotta work on that. Either way, it was DELISH!!!!! Little Bear did not like it so much. Ha!

Somewhere in here I managed to get in a run. Finished off Week 5 in my Girls Gotta Move 5k training program. That was a good one...40 minutes of Run for 4 and Walk for 1. Felt great!! Can't wait to finish the program. I have two more 30 4/2's and then the 5k. I still have been trying to find a race to run. For some reason, I am having a hard time finding one this year. *shrug*
